Description:
Obverse
On the coin obverse there is a depiction of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine against a background of a steppe landscape, combined from some species of local flora and fauna. Above the State Emblem, there is an inscription: УКРАЇНА and 1998.There is a two line inscription: 2 ГРИВНІ beneath the picture.
Reverse
On the coin reverse there is a composition, combined from a depiction of a stone steppe idol and a dynamic group of animals-inhabitants of the Reserve. Above the picture, around the circumference there is an inscription: АСКАНІЯ-НОВА. At the composition lower part, there is a depiction ofFalz-Fain's family emblem and a circumference inscription: 100 РОКІВ.
