Description:
Obverse
The coin is dedicated to Ivan Nykytovych Kozhedub, a famous son of Ukrainian people, fighter ace, Hero of the Soviet Union on three occasions, Marshal of Aviation.
On the coin obverse there are: above - the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription (National Bank of Ukraine), below - the coin face value (2 Hryvni) and the Mint logo of the National bank of Ukraine, to the left - the coin issue year 2010; in the centre there is depicted searchlighted La-7 aircraft (side number 27), which was piloted by I.N.Kozhedub.
Reverse
Ivan Kozhedub’s portrait against the background of a conventionalized airfield with an aircraft there on; under the aircraft there is the inscription (Ivan Kozhedub).
