Obverse
On the coin obverse against the glass background there is a semicircular inscription: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine), under which there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, a conventionalized composition symbolizing the way to the independence, below there are the inscriptions: 2008 / 2 ГРИВНІ (2 Hryvnia/2008) and the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse
