At the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center – the stylized silhouettes of the birds – the characters of Belarusian folk legends – and Belarusian plaited patterns against the background of a spinning wheel symbolizing perpetual motion, where the wheel’s pattern is changing into the structure of tree rings; at the bottom – the year of issue; and circumferential inscriptions: at the top – РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS) and at the bottom – the denomination: 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE).
Reverse
In the center – the stylized image of a bullfinch accompanied by snowflakes, sprigs and berries Rowan; and at the bottom – a circumferential inscription: ЛЕГЕНДА ПРА ГІЛЯ (THE LEGEND OF THE BULLFINCH).
