The relief image showing the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus in the circle surrounded by the geometrical ornament; in the center – the solar sign comprising an octagonal geometric pattern with the decorative elements which is symbolizing the rays of the sun; beneath – the year of issue; and circumferential inscriptions: at the top – РЭСПУБЛИКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS) and at the bottom – АДЗІН РУБЕЛЬ (ONE RUBLE).
Reverse
In the center – the relief image of bliny (pancakes), an essential attribute of Maslenitsa celebrations, beneath – the clay pot filled with sour cream and a wooden spoon therein; at the top – the relief image of the sun and snowflakes symbolizing the meeting of the winter and the spring; on the left and on the right – relief elements of Belarusian national ornament; and at the bottom – a circumferential inscription: МАСЛЕНІЦА (MASLENITSA).
