In the centre – the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it – the semicircular inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim – on top: «СТО РУБЛЕЙ» (ONE HUNDRED RUBLES), below: to the left – indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre – the year of issue «2007 г.» (2007), to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
In the centre – two trains, driven by a steam engine from the first half of the XIXth century (above) and by a modern locomotive (below, against the mountain background), above to the left – the route plan with marks of stops – «САНКТ-ПЕТЕРБУРГ», «ЦАРСКОЕ СЕЛО», «ПАВЛОВСК» – (SAINT PETERSBURG, TSARSKOYE SELO, PAVLOVSK); on top – the inscription along the rim: «170 ЛЕТ РОССИЙСКИМ ЖЕЛЕЗНЫМ ДОРОГАМ» (THE 170TH ANNIVERSARY OF RUSSIAN RAILWAYS).
