Obverse
A composition illustrating the beginnings and the present of the State Mint: a few coins minted after its establishment, including the leu 1 and the lei 20 coins from 1870, a milled edge engraved with the inscription “ROMANIA” and the main building of the nowadays headquarters of the mint; the face value “10 LEI”, the coat of arms of Romania and the year of issue “2015”.
Reverse
The image of a 19th century coin press, depicted on a medal engraved with the inscription “MONETARIA STATULUI” on the edge, the portrait and signature of King Carol I and the inscriptions “145 ANI” and “1870” – the year of establishing the mint.
