Romania's Coat of Arms, the inscription "ROMANIA", the year of issue "2003" and thew symbols of Romanian numismatics: the Horn of Plenty and some coins flowing out of the horn; below, the face value "500 LEI" is engraved circularly.
Reverse
The effigy of the Romanian Numismatic Society (the head of the goddess Minerva with a shield and a burning torch); the inscription "CENTENARUL SOCIETATII NUMISMATICE ROMANE" and the years "1903-2003", between two vegetal and rhomboid ornaments are egraved circularly.
