Description:
Obverse
The obverse of the coin features a carefully-carved stylised Vytis, which creates an effect of pulsating movement. This is surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (Lithuania) and mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin features motives of optical art – a spherical bead of silver in the centre and rhythmically repetitive circles of different sizes arranged at irregular intervals around it, providing an image of rotation, movement and space, optical illusion. There is also an inscription of the denomination (50 litas).
