Features an image of an artist-Muse, symbolising Europe's cultural roots – Classical Culture – painting on an easel in the shape of Gediminas Castle – the symbol of Vilnius. In a circle is the inscription VILNIUS – EUROPOS KULTŪROS SOSTINĖ (Vilnius – European Capital of Culture) and year of issue (2009).
