Description:
Obverse
The obverse of the coin features the Columns of Gediminas and the coats of arms of the lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania against a damascened background. The inscriptions LIETUVA (Lithuania) and 2000 arranged in a semi-circle run at the top and 50 LITŲ (50 litas) at the bottom.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin presents the picture of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas according to the medal created by the sculptor Vytautas Kašuba. The inscription VYTAUTAS • D • L• K • 1392 • 1430 (Vytautas • G • D • L • 1392 • 1430) is arranged in a semi-circle.
