Description:
Obverse
The coin motif depicts the old town of Vilnius as the center of Lithuanian culture, represented by the free-standing bell tower of the St. John's Church of Vilnius University, in the background on the left the Orthodox Church of the Holy Ghost and on the right the two towers of the Church of St. Catherine. On the upper right is the name of the issuing state "LIETUVA" with the year of issue "2017" and below it the mint mark. The shown design is the winning design for the coin issue designed by Vladas Orzekauskas. The twelve stars of the European flag are shown on the outer coin ring.
