Reverse
A composition depicting the portrait of the Cypriot poet Costas Montis in his late years reflecting the maturity of the contemplations of the distinquished and award winning Cypriot poet. The coin’s nominal value of €5 is also depicted and there is a semi-circular inscription on the upper part, from left to right,of the phrase «ΚΩΣΤΑΣ ΜΟΝΤΗΣ ΠΟΙΗΤΗΣ 1914-2014».The coin is issued to commemorate the poet on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth and 10 years since his death.The issue coincides with the Council of Ministers proclamation of 2014 as the «Year in Memory of Costas Montis».
