Description:
Obverse
On the obverse of the coin bearing the nominal value is the logo of the BNB and the figure ‘5’ and the texts ‘ЛЕВА’, and ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’, as well as the year of issue – ‘2002’.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin features the coloured image of two ‘sourvakari’ children (boys going from house to house wishing people a Happy New Year) and the inscription in circumference of a New Year wish ‘СУРВА, ВЕСЕЛА ГОДИНА – ЖИВИ, ЗДРАВИ ДО АМИНА’.
