Reverse
Along with the name of the state, "MISSISSIPPI" and "1817," the year it entered statehood, the reverse illustration displays two large magnolia blossoms, with the motto "The Magnolia State," the year of release "2002," and the Latin phrase "E Pluribus Unum."
