Obverse
On the obverse of the 100 hryvnia coin there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine and the circular inscriptions НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (above) and СТО ГРИВЕНЬ (one hundred hryvnias) (below) placed against the background of conventionalized ornament, between them there is the year of coin issue 2008 (on the right), designation of metal and its finenness – Ag 999, weight in fineness – 1000, as well as the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint (on the left). In the coin center in the circle of conventionalized rays there is a cross and the semi-circular inscriptions ПРАВОСЛАВ’Я (Orthodoxy)(above) and ІЗ КИЄВА ПО ВСІЙ РУСІ (From Kyiv all over Rus)(below).
Reverse
On the reverse of coin there is a multi-figure composition of baptism with the inscription 988/РІК (988/YEAR) below and the semi-circular inscription – ХРЕЩЕННЯ КИЇВСЬКОЇ РУСІ (Christianization of Kievan Rus) above.
