Obverse
On the coin obverse there is depicted a crane wedge disappearing in clouds, the inscription УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) (above) and the small National Emblem of Ukraine (on the right). Under the wedge - 2005, the coin issue year, below - Ag 925, the designation of metal and 62,2 g, its weight in fineness, as well as the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine; beneath - 20/ ГРИВЕНЬ (20 / hryvnia), the coin face value.
Reverse
On the coin reverse there are depicted soldiers returning from the battle-front in that part of the segment which is marked by three searchlight beams. On the left there is the inscription: 60/ РОКІВ/ ПЕРЕМОГИ/ У ВЕЛИКІЙ/ ВІТЧИЗНЯНІЙ/ ВІЙНІ/ 1941 - 1945 (60 Years of the Victory in the Second World War in 1941 - 1945). Below the inscription there is a holographic depiction of the Order of the Great Patriotic War.
