There is a semicircular conventionalized depiction of a snowflake fragment, upon which there are the inscriptions УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) and the small National Emblem of Ukraine; below and on the right, against the mirror background there are inscriptions: 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ / 2002 (10/ Hryvnia/ 2002), as well as the designation of the metal, its fineness and its weight in fineness.
Reverse
Above and on the left, against the mirror background there is the conventionalized depiction of a skater; below and on the right, there is engraved a snowflake against whose background there are three-lined inscriptions: ХІХ ЗИМОВІ ОЛІМПІЙСЬКІ ІГРИ / СОЛТ-ЛЕЙК-СІТІ / 2002 (19-th Winter Olympic Games/ Salt-Lake-City / 2002).
