Obverse: above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription Національний банк України (National Bank of Ukraine); in the centre there is the conventionalized image: the Protecting Veil of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mosaic by Nicholas Roerich`s sketch in the church of the village of Parkhomivka in the Kyiv Oblast; to the left there is the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint; below there are the coin face value 2 / ГРИВНІ (2 / hryvnias) and the coin issue year indication 2014.
Reverse
Reverse: against the background of the conventionalized image of mountains there is the portrait of Nicholas Roerich holding `Kobzar`, one of his most favourite books; above there is the semicircular inscription МИКОЛА РЕРІХ (Nicholas Roerich); to the right there is the indication of the years of his life 1874/1947.
