Obverse
On the coin obverse in the centre there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, underneath – 2008, the coin mintage year; around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (above), ДВІ ГРИВНІ (two Hrivnias) (beneath) and the logotype of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse
On the coin reverse there is a portrait of Yevhen Petrushevych, on the right: 1863/1940, his years of life, on the left - the lion of Halych and beneath there is a semicircular inscription: ЄВГЕН ПЕТРУШЕВИЧ (Yevhen Petrushevych).
