Obverse
On the obverse, the effigy of His Majesty the King Don Felipe VI is reproduced. In the lower part of the coin, the common brand adopted by the countries that issue coins dedicated to the Europe Program and occupying the bottom of the coin a five-pointed star.
Reverse
On the back three motifs framed in ovals are reproduced. The upper oval contains an image of the main façade of the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca; the right oval, an image of the portrait of Lope de Vega, property of the Valencia Institute of Don Juan and deposited in the Lope de Vega House Museum, in Madrid; the left oval, the portrait of the Infanta Margarita, central theme of the work "Las meninas" by Velázquez, which is preserved in the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid.
