The inner part of the coin features the engraving of a portrait of Giuseppe Garibaldi. The mint mark (R) is inscribed to the left of the portrait, while the initials of the artist Ettore Lorenzo Frapiccini (E.L.F.) appear on the lower left-hand edge of the inner part.
