In the right part of the disc – the portrait of Mikhail Lermontov according to the painting by P.E. Zabolotsky, in the background – scenes described in Lermontov’s verse "Borodino": to the left – two talking soldiers, at a distance – the scene of a battle; above at the rim – the facsimile signature of the writer and dates: "1814" and "1841".
