Obverse
In the center — the Emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two headed eagle designed by I.Bilibin, lower — the semicircular inscription — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top — «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (THREE RUBLES), at the bottom — «1999», the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right — the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
The picture of the Monument of Friendship (sculptors M.F.Baburin, G.P.Levitskaya)erected in 1965 in honour of the 400th Anniversary of the joining of Bashkiriya to the Russian state.To the left —a fragment of the monument, to the right — the coat of arms of the city of Ufa. The inscription at the bottom in two lines: «МОНУМЕНТ ДРУЖБЫ» «г.УФА »(THE MONUMENT OF FRIENDSHIP UFA).
