Obverse

- on the upper part – the year of issue „2018”;
- on the bottom part -the inscription „50 LEI”;
- in exergue– the inscription „REPUBLICA MOLDOVA” is engraved in block letters.
Reverse
- in the center - the effigy of Ivan Mocan;
- on the right - the inscription „100 ani de la naștere” and the graphic symbol of ascending evolution on coins;
- In the lower part are engraved the inscriptions "IVAN MOCAN" and the years of life "1918 -1997".
