In 2001, cross-crafting was included by UNESCO in the List of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Surrounding this are the inscriptions KRYŽDIRBYSTĖ IR KRYŽIŲ SIMBOLIKA (Cross-crafting and its symbolism) and UNESCO.
