Description:
Obverse
Kenyan coat of arms which features two lions, symbols of protection, holding spears and a traditional East African shield. On the shield is a forward-marching rooster holding an axe. The shield and lions stand on a silhouette of Mount Kenya along with Kenyan agricultural products. The coat of arms is supported by a scroll upon which is written 'Harambee', which in Swahili means "pulling together" or "all for one".
