Obverse
In the central part depicts the mythological symbols of constellations stellar maps of the sky and an inscription («Ag 925 31,1 gr.»), indicating the material from which made coin, its standard and weight. Along the perimeter of the coin wide matted edging, on which circumferentially arranged die with sunken inscription "500 ТЕҢГЕ" indicating the denomination of the coin, depressed inscription "ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ" in Kazakh language and «REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN» in English, as well as a stylized image of the sun
Reverse
In the central part of the captured rooster - a symbol of 2017 on east calendar and is the logo of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Along the perimeter of the coin wide matted edging, on which are arranged in a circle die with "2017" inscribed depressed,
depressed inscription "ШЫҒЫС КҮНТІЗБЕСИ" in the state language, "ВОСТОЧНЫЙ КАЛЕНДАРЬ" in Russian and "ORIENTAL CALENDAR" in English. From inside the frosted edge located other eleven symbols of the Oriental calendar.
