The coin depicts a collection of symbols from different disciplines: natural sciences, humanities, technology, mathematics and so on, combined together in a "world" shaped like the graduation cap traditionally worn by college students during the graduation ceremony. Along the border of the coin, the words "HIGHER EDUCATION IN ISRAEL" in Hebrew and English.
