Obverse
The allegorical figure of the French Republic, Marianne, dressed in her famous Phrygian cap. Marianne embodies the Republic and the values contained in its motto, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. Freedom is symbolized by the 'L' of the word "LLiberté" that turns into a flight of birds that arrive in the Cockade, symbol of the Republic which thus becomes a space of freedom
Reverse
Face value surrounded by two branches, one of Oak Bay, which evokes the initials of the euro. All of the grounds of the reverse is framed by an assemblage of features representative of the hexagon.
