Description:
Obverse
Crowned half-bust of King Christian IV facing right over a big ornate cartouche with king’s name and titles. The bust (but not the cartouche) is inside a rope circle with King's motto outside. At bottom the numbers of date are divided by cartouche lobes. Mintamarks are at sides of cartouche.
Reverse
Danish arms on a cross with long arms encircled by a ring of 13 round shields of Danish territories; all inside an outer pearled circle. Above, cutting the pearled circle, the Danish crown. Below on the lower arm of cross the pendant of the Order of the Elephant.
