熙寧 = Xining, 1st era of Shenzong (1068-1077), the 6th emperor of the Song Dynasty from 1067 to 1085.
- Bottom to right:
重寶 = Zhong bao, means heavy currency
In 1071, the Xining zhong bao 10 cash coin was issued to meet military expenses. Later, illicit minting forced it to be devalued to 3 cash, and then in 1073 to 2 cash. It is hard to distinguish between 10, 3, and 2 cash coins.
